The homogenization of culture taking place within the liberal west does not fully extend to that of the Eastern cannon, the reproduction of Western culture in the East is seldom seen outside of itself.

The ‘Aus-China art trail’ is the merging of these phenomena.

The Cosmopolitan plurality between each country is only visible on the surface, beneath, the differences are vast.

The works serve a purpose as a heuristic device.

The exhibition acts as an ephemeral space in which the viewer is able to openly explore. Individual beliefs conveyed through the work are reflective of cultural processes. The journey of discovery through making and viewing art is something that gives insight into both one’s own and others’ culture and beliefs.
